How is the unit price of shorts calculated at different order volumes?

How unit price is calculated

The unit price of shorts depends on several elements: fabric and weight, construction and fit complexity, decoration such as printing, embroidery or washing, labels and packaging, and the total quantity you order. Each of these changes the cost structure, which is why we quote per project rather than from a fixed price list.

Fixed costs, including pattern development, machine setup, screen or embroidery setup and packing preparation, are spread across the number of pieces produced. That is why larger volumes normally bring a lower unit price: the same fixed cost is divided by more units.

To make comparison easy, we provide an itemized quotation showing the main cost elements, and we can quote two or three quantity levels so you can see how the price changes with volume. If your design is still evolving, we can also indicate which specification choices have the biggest effect on cost.

Send your design and target quantities and we will prepare a clear, itemized quotation for your project.
