Shorts can be produced in a range of fabrics, including cotton twill, fleece, mesh and nylon-style materials, and the fabric is usually decided together with the length and the intended use.

Length is a design decision rather than a detail: a shorter inseam reads sportier while a longer one reads more like a casual or work short, and the rise and the leg opening also shape how the piece sits.

Where the fabric is washed or garment-dyed, the handfeel and slightly the measurements change, so the tolerance is agreed after the wash test rather than before it.

Fabric availability limits what is possible in a given colour, so we check what can be sourced for your specification and confirm it at the quotation stage.
