Replicating an existing sample

Yes. Send us the sample itself, or detailed photographs with measurements and construction notes, and we will develop a counter-sample for your approval. Replication is common when a brand moves production between suppliers or wants to reproduce a bestseller with new branding.

For a reliable match, we examine fabric composition and weight, the pattern and seam structure, the wash or finish, and all trims such as zippers, buttons, labels and any decoration. Where the original material is not obtainable, we propose the closest available alternative and explain the difference so you can judge whether it is acceptable.

The counter-sample is then compared against the original, and any remaining differences are agreed before bulk production. Where a measurement tolerance is needed, we define it in writing so the finished order can be checked against the same standard.

If the original garment is a bestseller and must remain identical, we recommend keeping the same fabric source where possible, since changing the mill can subtly change hand feel.
