Can you produce acid-wash and vintage-dye t-shirts?
Acid-wash and vintage-dye finishes
Washed and garment-dyed finishes, including acid-wash and vintage looks, can be produced where the fabric suits the process. These are finishing routes rather than print effects, so the base fabric matters as much as the recipe.
In practice the finish is developed on a sample, because washing changes the colour, the handfeel and slightly the measurements. That is why the tolerance is best agreed after the wash test rather than before it.
Because washing affects the shade, the colour reference is approved on a washed sample, since a pre-wash swatch is not the colour the customer will finally see.
Handfeel and appearance vary naturally with this type of finishing, so the approved sample is the reference for bulk production and consistency is judged against it.
Send your reference look and your fabric idea and we will confirm what can be achieved for your order.
