What does a custom streetwear manufacturer do beyond sewing garments?
Beyond sewing: what a manufacturer actually handles
Sewing is the visible part of the job. Before it, your brief has to become a written specification: fabric and weight, trims and hardware, measurements, decoration placement and the size set. That document is what the sample is built against and what bulk production is measured against, so a manufacturer that skips it usually discovers the gaps during production rather than before.
A manufacturer also buys the material. Fabric, ribbing, zips, labels and hangtags are sourced against your specification, and availability decides what is possible in a given colour. This is why the fabric is confirmed at quotation stage rather than after the order is placed.
Sampling comes next. It typically takes around two weeks and it is charged separately and quoted upfront; it may be credited against the bulk order only where the bulk quantity is large enough. Sampling is where a wash is developed and a fit is corrected on a real garment.
After approval, bulk production typically runs three to four weeks, checked at cutting, sewing, finishing and before packing. INFULLSAIL holds BSCI social compliance certification, and material certifications such as OEKO-TEX are confirmed per project at quotation stage.
