Can OEM and ODM styles be produced in the same order?
Mixing models in one order
Yes. Many brands run a hybrid order: one or two fully own-design pieces that carry the identity of the collection, supported by adapted ODM styles that fill out the range at a lower development cost.
The economics do not change with the model. Our standard minimum is 100 pieces per style, per color, and that applies to an OEM style and an ODM style in exactly the same way. Sizes can be mixed inside one colourway, while each colour remains its own order.
Development time is where the two differ. An ODM reference often needs a shorter first round because the pattern exists, while an OEM style usually takes more specification work before the sample is cut. Either way, sampling typically takes around two weeks and bulk production typically takes three to four weeks after the sample is approved.
It helps to plan the mix before sampling rather than during it, because the fabric and finish decisions on one style can affect what is practical on another. Tell us the mix you have in mind and we will confirm what is realistic.
